Autumn recipe: spaghetti squash au gratin in the oven

A desire for a comforting dish without spending hours in the kitchen? This month ZeroWaste Switzerland takes you on the path to simplicity with a recipe for spaghetti squash, to be stuffed as you wish… and what’s left in the fridge!

Ps. To use all of the squash, discover here a delight to make with the remaining seeds!

  1. Cut 1 spaghetti squash lengthwise. Remove the seeds
  2. Cook in a pot of water or in the oven preheated to 215. Bake for 30 minutes
  3. Meanwhile, prepare a sauce of your choice to stuff the spaghetti halves: bolognese, mushroom and onion, tomato and mozzarella… Let your imagination run wild!
  4. Drain the squashes or take them out of the oven
  5. Salt and pepper the inside of the cavities and stuff them
  6. Gratinate in the oven for 10-15 minutes

Tip: squashes are cooked when the flesh, scraped with a fork, turns into spaghetti.
