WHAT IS THE BIG PLASTIC COUNT?
The Big Plastic Count is the largest plastic counting
campaign in Switzerland: Thousands of participants will
count their plastic waste for a week, share the results with us
and thus help find out what really happens to it.
WHY IS THE BIG PLASTIC COUNT IMPORTANT?
The plastic crisis affects us all and requires urgent action. It
is important that we make our voices heard. By taking part,
you will help us gather evidence about how much plastic is
actually being used. The results will help us address the
Swiss government to take bold action against plastic in
Switzerland and reach an ambitious Global Plastics Treaty.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Whether as an individual, family, club, company or school class,
everyone is welcome to participate. It’s very easy.

TIMELINE:
Counting Week: 31 March – 6 April
Submission deadline: 13 April
Results by: Week of 5 May
5 EASY STEPS:
- Register here: thebigplasticcount.ch / signup
(live from 27 February) - Print the tally sheet and place it where visible
- Mark on your calendar the start of the count: 31 March
- Count your plastic for one week
- Submit your results at the end of the week
