Our collaborations with foundations and companies are critical for us to continue our efforts to promote an ecologically and economically sustainable society through the reduction of urban waste. Our ongoing work continues and our specific projects come to life because of the support of foundations and companies who share our vision of a Switzerland in which people lead a way of life based on conscious choices that preserve natural resources and allow everyone to live a fulfilling life.
Since our creation in 2015, our concept has proven itself and we have had tangible results. But there is still a long way to go to realise our ultimate ambition of Zero Waste being produced in Switzerland. In ZeroWaste Switzerland’s vision, no more waste is produced: the best waste is the waste that is not produced. We put this into practice in our projects, which focus on reducing waste and wastage, by raising awareness of waste issues.
More and more companies are recognizing that the path to sustainable economic success is not only through profit maximization, but also through responsible action. The over-consumption of our planet’s resources and the resulting production of waste is a major environmental issue. The multiplication of citizen and political actions shows that the protection of the environment is at the heart of our concerns. A profound change in the system is necessary, and for this we are called upon to reinvent the way our society functions.
